Steve Kane is responsible for leading MetWest's AlphaTrak, Ultra Short and Liability Driven Investment (LDI) products, and he co-manages many of the firm's mutual funds. He is a member of both the credit committee (which determines strategies for our corporate securities) and the structured products committee (which determines strategies for our mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities). Prior to establishing MetWest, Steve was a fixed income portfolio manager at Hotchkis and Wiley. He was also a vice president and fixed income specialist at PIMCO.
Steve is a CFA charterholder. He earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
